The most wonderful time of the year.

For Christmas, I got the cutest barista in town making me espresso in our kitchen.

Thank God for Art

It's interesting to me how I am drawn to certain art, colors and people, all depending on where I am at inside. Here's what I loved at the SF MOMA recently and considering my current heart space, these pieces make perfect sense.

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

Tootie. She is the cutest little girl on the planet. She dances with everything she's got. She can eat a whole watermelon. She asks for hamburgers in the morning. I can learn a lot from her.

When it was time to paint nails she softly said 5 times "Can I do it myself?" and soon there was pink nail polish more on her toes rather than her nails, then on her hands, then her dress but she remained perfect.

Isn't it awesome that we can't fuck it up no matter how hard we try? Even if we paint outside of the lines.

The ride's been fun and I don't care where I get dropped off.

I did it. I finished and submitted my portfolio to CCA, complete and on time. While it would be nice to get accepted, I've already accomplished more than I had hoped for. I started from square one, where I thought I had nothing to offer and one step at a time, I found I have something to give after all........me.
